BURIED DEEP SONG EXLANATION
The gist of the song is an accumulation of many books that I've read that are spiritual and philosophical. Inside all of us is a G-dly spark, a soul, whether or not one calls it that - could be a higher power to some, the universal force, but inside every human being is that spark that unites us all. Unfortunately, it gets buried deep by our ego. We think who we are is our accomplishments, our titles, things that you can see, but that's not really true. Our essence has nothing to do with our careers, families, stuff, money, who we think we are ... our essence is that spark of G-dliness, goodness, that wants to shine in this world. Our job is to uncover it, get in touch with it, and do our part to add goodness to the world. It doesn't matter what religion a person is. We all have this spark that's 'Buried Deep" that we need to connect with and manifest. We do that by acknowledging and controlling the voice in our head and realizing that's our ego, but not who we are. Think about it... If everyone honored the inner spark that each person has inside and tried to connect to it - wow! The world would be a much kinder and loving place. I hope that clarifies it a little. This is how I interpreted what I read.
