about
I was encouraged to pick up the ukelele by my friends at Black Mountain Guitar in Cave Creek, AZ. I started going to ukelele jam sessions and really loved playing and singing with other people. At the same time that I picked up the uke, a very dear friend of mine of over 30 years, decided that she didn't want me in her life anymore. It was extremely painful, but I did get a great song out of it. I'm happy to report that I think we are healing our relationship. At least, I hope so.
lyrics
Wastin’ My Time
Words and music by Terry Hope Gladstone
Didn’t matter
When I was young
Didn’t matter
Having too much fun
Sitting here
Wastin’ my time
That I’m not sure I got
More time behind
Then ahead
No one knows
When all is said
Sitting here
Wastin’ my time
That I’m not sure I got
Didn’t matter
When I was young
Didn’t matter
Having too much fun
Sitting here
Wastin’ my time
That I’m not sure I got
So am I wastin’ my time
Thinking of you
What we’ve been through
I don’t want darkness around
I have found it abounds
With you, yeah you
All the time
Slips away
I don’t mind
If I can play
Sitting here wastin’ my time
And I’ve got no regrets
There’ll be a time
Don’t know when
I don’t mind
What’s ahead
I’m sitting here wastin’ my time
And I’ve got no regrets
So am I wastin’ my time
Thinking of you
And what we’ve been through
I don’t want darkness around
I have found it abounds
With you, yeah you
It’s so hard to let go of a friend
Who you’ve been through thick and through thin
When all I want is love
Didn’t matter
When I was young
Didn’t matter
Having too much fun
Sitting here
Wastin’ my time
That I’m not sure I got
There’ll be a time
Don’t know when
No one knows
When all is said
Sitting here wastin’ my time and I’ve got no regrets
Sitting here wastin’ my time that I’m not sure I got
Sitting here wastin’ my time and I got no regrets
I’ve got no regrets
I’ve got no regrets
I’ve got no regrets
